The Drou Nest: Here we go!

Okay, so I am completely new to this blogging business but I thought it would be fun to keep "tabs" on our family, especially our new addition, baby Jack. I am excited to watch him grow and record all of the milestones he meets along the way. It's definitely going to be a fun journey with some bumps along the way, but what's life without the hiccups? :)

Kevin and I are adjusting to becoming parents recently and let's just say, it's been a transition...for the better! We jump, skip, sing, "jiggle" and shush...We do it all, all for Jack. :) Our furbabies Bella and Phoebe have been taken by surprise and are slowly realizing their new place. Bella loves to watch Jack and Phoebe loves to ignore him. She's very aware she is no longer the center of attention and I believe she is a bit bitter!

Jack has adjusted well. He is now 5 weeks old! His one month check-up was this past Monday and he weighed in at 10 lbs 3 ounces. He gained over 2 lbs in two weeks! I can't believe how time flies...when you aren't getting much sleep. :) He's a pretty content baby, but of course he has his moments! He's just making sure mommy and daddy have every experience as new parents. I believe we have purchased all a baby could ever need and more. We have a nice assortment of baby 'goods', needless to say. Jack has his own ipod that we download lullabies and white noise on to. :) He loves Baby Einstein Lullabies! We are truly loving the experience and wouldn't change a thing! We love him to pieces.
